Nexosis concludes three-month accelerator; announces private beta launch and direct integration with ecommerce platform Shopify
MINNEAPOLIS (Sept. 20, 2016) – Today, at a Demo Day to celebrate the completion of the Techstars + Target Retail Accelerator, Nexosis announces a private beta launch and a direct integration with ecommerce platform Shopify.
Nexosis, a 9-person startup based in Westerville, uses its automated machine-learning platform to provide retailers with forecasting and impact analysis. It combines retailers’ historical data with multiple outside sources, like weather and holidays, to help retailers improve their inventory planning. During the accelerator this summer, it built a direct integration with Shopify to give small businesses access to its full suite of forecasting tools.
Additionally, Nexosis will open a private beta of its machine learning platform to ecommerce platforms and point-of-sale systems. This enables companies of any size access to forecasting demand, guest counts and future sales and provides insights into the impact of variables like promotions, weather and holidays.
“At Nexosis, we believe that all businesses – from mom-and-pop stores to Fortune 50 companies – should have access to the power of machine learning,” said Ryan Sevey, CEO and co-founder of Nexosis. “That’s why we joined the accelerator program this summer – to grow and start to scale our product. Through the accelerator, we received incredible mentorship that provided us with the expertise and clarity to move forward.”
The accelerator helped the company developing business relationships through mentoring, coaching, workshops, and networking with thought leaders of successful start-ups and Fortune 500 companies.
Nexosis engineers, data scientists and user experience designers are continually enhancing and expanding the platform’s capabilities and are focused on opening the platform to more small businesses in the future.
