MLconf, also called The Machine Learning Conference, "gathers communities to discuss the recent research and application of algorithms, tools, and platforms to solve the hard problems that exist within organizing and analyzing massive and noisy data sets." Ryan West, one of our machine learning engineers, is speaking at a session called "Automating Time Series Model Selection with Decision Theory" that will elaborate on how decision theory can be used to automate time series model selection to streamline the manual process of validation and testing. Not only does this process improve forecast accuracy, but it also reduces computation time by only requiring the creation of a fixed number of proposed forecasting models. Don't miss it!
